The

The town
where the flat is situated is named Le Barcares..below you will find full
details of the area and its surround. The Town of Le Barcares is situated
on the Mediterranean coast in the far south of France close to Barcelona
and the Spanish border. The town lies on a flat sea plain totally
surrounded by the beautiful view of the majestic peaks of the Pyrenees .
In
Barcares alone, leaving aside the numerous neighbouring towns, there is 8
kilometres of sandy beaches. Many of us know the Cote d’Azure which is the
other south side of France on the boarder with Italy..Well, Barcares lies
on the “Cote Catalane” which is also down south, but, on the boarder
with Spain.
Le
Barcares has a combined feature of a fishing village, a modern holiday
resort and a historic town. There is a fiercely Catalan spirit which
permeates life in Le Barcares. Sea food at Le Barcares is so fresh that
you could still taste the water in it.
At Le
Barcares you will find all sports and water activities available…You could
hire your own speed boat. In summer you find available all kinds of
entertainments in the streets ie: musical orchestras, bands playing modern
music, dance shows, magicians, Firework displays, freshly caught fish
grilled and offered free of charge to the public and much more.
Winter,
spring & autumn on the other hand bring calmness and tranquillity but
when you need to have a busier atmosphere you simply go to the city of
Perpignan which is literally a 10 minute drive away and you could have all
the attractions and night life that a large city would offer.
Amongst,
places, towns and cities you ought to visit are: Le Lydia , Cap Coudalere,
Fishermen village, Perpignan, Ville Franche, Port Leucate, Barcelona,
Andorra, Le Perthus, Collioures, Canet, Canet Plage, Salses and many more.
Upon
arrival make sure you visit the Information/tourism office in Barcares
village to find out if there are any local activities and of the times of
the local market etc.
